All bleary eyed, sipping morning coffee, looking at the tiny thumbnail, I thought to myself... Hey, somebody posted a Škoda Fabia Mk.I Elegance 1.4 16V just like my mom's!
It might be a 14 years old econohatch, a smidge lighter than the Sandero, but it still came with an optional 101HP mill in the non hot version (and a base 60HP, or something). Sandero offers 75 and 90HP. Well that woke me up real rather quick.
The hot hatch was a 136HP turbodiesel vRS, easily remappable to 163 at least, with oodles of torque from venerable the 1.9TDi. It spanked the Mini Cooper on TopGear once, but can't find the clip... Here's the Fifth Gear version:
And that concludes our morning news. I will be the first to admit that the Sandero looks quite handsome, though the profile seems to leave something to be desired.
Conclusion, we need a hot Sanderooo! :]
